Gadolinium Oxysulfide (GOS) is a fluorescent material with high X-ray and thermal neutron blocking ability. The doping of rare earth ions (Pr3+, Tb3+, etc.) makes it show ultrafast scintillation decay time and ultrahigh light yield etc.
