In the petrochemical industry, with the trend of heavier and poorer crude oil quality, blending heavy oil and residual oil into the feedstock for catalytic cracking has become a commonly adopted processing method. It necessitates the enhancement of the cracking capacity of fluid catalytic cracking (FCC) catalysts towards large molecular compounds, thereby requiring the catalyst supports to possess a high pore volume, which facilitates the diffusion of large molecular compounds into the interior of the catalyst particles, and a large specific surface area, which is conducive to the dispersion of active metals. Pseudo-boehmite (AlOOH·nH2O, n=0.08-0.62), as a precursor of catalyst supports, its crystallinity, particle size, aggregation state, and morphology significantly impact or even determine the performance of the supports.

On the evening of September 24, XTC announced that the company signed a "Cooperation framework agreement" with China Rare Earth Group and planned to establish two joint ventures. Among them, China Rare Earth Group holds 51%, and XTC or its holding subsidiaries hold 49%. The joint venture will jointly operate rare earth mines and rare earth smelting and separation industries controlled by XTC (including its controlling shareholders and its controlling subsidiaries). The two sides strive to ensure that the recoverable rare earth oxide (REO) reserves in Fujian Province remain above 200,000 tons in the long term. In addition, within 2-3 years after the cooperation, the joint venture company also plans to invest in a new 5,000-10,000 tons of separation capacity in Fujian Province. XTC said that the signing of the agreement is conducive to accelerating the strategic coordination between the central and local areas and jointly promoting the high-quality development of the rare earth industry.

Effect of Content and Particle Size of MgO on Liquid-phase Sintering Behavior and Mechanical Properties of Si3 N4 -Y2 O3 -MgO Ceramics
Abstract: The effects of MgO content and particle size on the density,phase composition,microstructure and mechanical properties of Si3 N4 -Y2 O3 -MgO liquid phase sintering system were investigated systematically in the present work. Results show that the effect of liquid phase could be more important due to the increase of MgO content,thus resulting in enhancing the final density of material and promoting the coarsening growth of β-Si3N4 grains. When the liquid phase content was the same but MgO particle size increased,the final density and aspect ratio of β-Si3N4 grains simultaneously tended to diminish. It is found that the MgO particle size has significant influence on the formation and distribution of liquid phase,hence affects the wettability,particle rearrangement and mass transfer during liquid phase sintering process. The relative density,fracture toughness and Vickers hardness reached maximum values of 99. 5% ± 0. 2% ,( 6. 9 ± 0. 6 ) MPa· m1 /2 and ( 18. 7 ± 0. 1 ) GPa,respectively at a MgO adding level of 4wt% and a particle size of 0. 1 μm.
